Trash & Recycling

Trash and recycling pickup is generally Thursday mornings at 7am. Residents can place trash and recycling at any of three locations no earlier than 7pm on the day before pickup:

Outside the Lombard Street gate,
Outside the 8th Street gate, or
Corner of Darien Street and South Street.

Trash bags go on the left, recycling goes on the right at the curb.

NO CONTAINERS OVER 50lbs WILL BE ACCEPTED, AND YOU WILL BE FINED.

If you have large items to dispose, please check the Oversized Items and Dumping page of the Philadelphia Sanitation Department website, and arrange with the city accordingly for pickup.  Some items cannot be put out with the regular trash pickup.

Trash pickup is delayed by a day during weeks with federal holidays, and can be delayed or cancelled during heavy snowfalls. Please visit the Philadelphia Sanitation Department website for additional information.

If you put your trash or recycling out in a container, please retrieve it promptly following trash pickup.
NO CONTAINERS OR TRASH BAGS MAY BE LEFT IN THE COMMON AREAS.
